Jewelry Care + Materials
Gold-filled and gold-plated jewelry is designed to be worn daily! It's the the ideal choice for those seeking durability and affordability, second only to solid gold. However, it’s important to note that durability doesn’t mean indestructible. By implementing a few simple care practices, you can preserve the longevity of your jewelry. Various factors, including frequency of wear, cleaning habits, and exposure to everyday products and chemicals, can affect your jewelry. Without proper care as outlined below, the gold layer may tarnish and darken. If you have additional questions on how to best care for your jewelry, we’re always an email away!
Cleaning your Jewelry at Home
Maintain shine
Rinse your jewelry with lukewarm water and mild soap, gently patting it dry after activities like sweating, swimming, or contact with skincare and hair products. (Avoid spraying perfumes directly on jewelry)
Remove dirt and product buildup
Soak your jewelry in lukewarm water for 30-60 seconds, then gently scrub it with a soft toothbrush to eliminate excess product. Pat dry using a gentle cloth. (For optimal results, we recommend a monthly deep clean)
Storing Jewelry
Keep your collection in our micro-fiber jewelry bags to shield it from moisture and environmental factors when not in use. Avoid storing different metals together to prevent metal-on-metal rubbing.
